What's new

Welcome to our home on the web. The purpose of this site is to
share our wonderful dogs with other Sheltie lovers and offer information
for those that are new to the breed or thinking of getting a dog. We
hope that you will enjoy your visit and come back often.
We do not have any litters planned in the foreseeable
future. If you are thinking of getting a puppy, we suggest that you
visit the American Shetland Sheepdog
Association site. Go to the Breeder Network section and you will
find a list of breeder referral persons, listed by State. These people
should be able to help you find a breeder in your area and also to answer
any questions that you might have. If you do not plan on breeding, we
hope you will consider adopting one of the many Shelties that are taken in
each year by Sheltie Rescue
groups, or check out PetFinder.com,
which is partnered with the ASPCA.
We also suggest that you take a
look at our Code of Ethics and our tips on Buying A Pure-Bred Puppy
to learn more about the things to look for in a breeder. Many people
think that AKC registration means "quality." Be sure to
read "What does AKC really mean?"
before you buy a puppy.
Breeder's
Oath
We will, in everything we do, be aware
that we are the caretakers of the future of our breed. Each action
we take, every decision we make, can and will affect Shetland
Sheepdogs as a breed, not only today but for all the years to come. We are aware that poor breeding decisions have caused the downfall of some
popular breeds, some brought to the point of near extinction. As the caretakers of our breed, we will protect not only the dogs that are
living today, but those that are not yet born. It is our duty to see
that Shetland Sheepdogs will go on in future years to be all that the
breed was intended for.
